Just a quick note: I started the seeds about 10 days ago, and there’s been snow on the ground for the past three weeks, so I don’t have too much to add right now.  But I did suffer my first tragedy over the weekend. We went away to a cabin and I came home to one of my seed trays sprouting not seeds but mold. I had turned the thermostat in the house down to 50, and kept them too damp with plastic wrap loosely over the top. I scraped off the layer of mold off, and left the seeds to hopefully sprout, but if not, I’ll have to start over.  I did reserve a few seeds (the tomatoes and eggplant are the moldiest), but if I do have to start over, I’ll have fewer plants by a lot.
