A few days ago, I pushed around a little bit of the dirt in the potato box to see if anything was stirring. I know the sprouts had about eight inches of dirt to grow through, but I was getting a little nervous that my watering had been too much/too little, or that my seed potatoes went kaput. I did find one little sprout, almost breaking the surface of the soil , and was encouraged. But prodding in the rest of the box  (probably not a good idea, but I  was curious) I didn’t find much else.

I’m glad to say that today, it looks like five of the nine seed potatoes are viable and are doing really well. the shoots should leaf out in the next few weeks, and hopefully, those four slow poke potatoes will catch up soon!
